Brandon is a 5th degree black belt in Shorinji Kempo originally from Tigard, Oregon. He was trained under Yuji Harada-sensei, 7th degree black belt, at the San Francisco Shorinji Kempo Dojo from 2007-2019 and an assistant instructor before returning to Portland, Oregon with hopes of opening his own branch.

Over the course of 18 years Brandon has enjoyed many opportunities to visit and train at multiple US west coast Shorinji Kempo dojos, as well as participating in North American and Worldwide Shorinji Kempo training events and competitions.​

Brandon is extremely passionate about Shorinji Kempo; its techniques, ideals, and ability to connect people to each other across national and cultural boundaries.
